Capacity: 20 members

New members are selected by referral,but may be considered on a case by case basis. New members are accepted in February and July of each year. The first year a new member is considered a prospective member.

Prospective Members are those that have been invited to the join RLR on the condition of attending at least 3 consecutive meetings or 4 meetings over a 6 month period. If either of those are not met in a 6 month period RLR will decided if they should move forward with the group. Membership fee $27.50 is collected at the second meeting attended and non-refundable.

Privileges: Are invited to all meetings and book club related actives and Can participate in book selection vote.

After 6 months: If dues are being allocated toward payment, does not have to pay any additional fees after 6months

After 1 year:  Can host a meeting and has full rights as a member

The Host for the month will provide book nominations, facilitate planning, and moderate discussion.

After you are member for a year, the next calendar year you can host.

Book Nominations:

The Host will present her book nominations at the meeting prior Host will select 2 books to present to the group.

Locations:

If the Host determine the location for the meetings, but they are usual at their home.

Discussion:

The role of the host is to moderate and drive the discussion.

Food:
Food for the meeting will be potluck and the menu is up to the host and themes related to the book are encouraged.
